brief: create content for and develop the We Design Volvo Instagram account. Its role was first to share what was happening «behind the scenes», then evolved into building a different creative culture around the design studio.

evolution of intentions
We Design Volvo has been one of my longest involvement at Volvo Cars and where I was able to impact a lot the development of ideas. From creating content for the Instagram account, to strategizing around communication and finally to create a real community within
and around the design studio, my involvement evolved throughout the years. This project is, in many ways, aligned with my values, my perception of the creative process and our needs as designers. Most of this was self initiated, and many saw it as a true benefit for the design studio.







Although confidentiality limits what we can share, days like this let us show how we work: through inspiration, workshops, and team bonding.





Another goal is to build lasting relationships with students from both automotive and broader creative fields. We Design Volvo highlights intern work, as it often reflects Volvo’s values in fresh, unique ways.





We Design Volvo aims to showcase the diverse backgrounds and roles behind each project, recognizing the contributions of everyone involved, from studio engineers to the physical geometry and operational teams.
art direction
I was tasked with structuring the design communication for the launch of the EX90. I focused on collaborative storytelling with clear guidelines for each topic. From organizing photoshoots, taking pictures, editing and posting, it was a fun challenge!



















design breakfasts
After some time and with some support, I realized that We Design Volvo had a lot more potential than just a communication tool for us to share what we are doing. It was time for the design studio and the design community in general to benefit from this initiative.

Based on relationships with mutual benefits, We Design Volvo became a cultural platform fostering global creativity. The design breakfast was the first step in this journey, where the whole studio gathers and share knowledge, sometimes with a wider audience!
